Theft from Motor Vehicle - Tedder Road, Hemel Hempstead

Dear Resident

Between 27/10/2025 00:00 to 27/10/2025 04:00, a theft from a vehicle occurred in Tedder Road, Hemel Hempstead.

Between material times, vehicle was left locked and secure at the location, offenders have gained entry to the vehicle by unknown means. Having gained entry to the vehicle, offenders have removed property from within, offenders have left in direction unknown.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Remove your satnav and holder and wipe away suction marks which could indicate that a satnav is stored in your vehicle.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them lying around, visible or in pockets in changing rooms where they could be taken. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag and consider using additional trackers and steering wheel locks.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.

Secure number plates with anti-theft screws.
